Impressionist painting
Monet and the impressionist painted the beauty of light and colour. In this series. I am looking at the several small areas in Monet’s paintings, like Hay Stacks, or Cathedral, and exploring the intensity of marks and colour in that space. Included in this exploration is also, Van Gogh’s mark making, flow of lines, pattern of lines and George Seurat’s Pointillism.
